First Brussels trip post-launch

Today I am embarking on the first of many EXCCEL trips to the European capital - for both teaching and knowledge transfer (KT) purposes, a joint mission with joint funding and objectives. First, I am taking a group of our European Business Law students to the European Commission, a Brussels law firm and a large corporate, to hear about European competition law. There is a KT opportunity on Tuesday evening with EC officials and a further opportunity with receptions held by Allen & Overy and Deloitte's Luxembourg office.
On Wednesday afternoon, we drive to Luxembourg for the Deloitte's reception and a very busy afternoon and morning at the CJEU - as well as lunch on Thursday.
Then begins Part 2 - I leave the group on Lille to return to Brussels for a hearing on our joint Internet Science proposal. I finally get back to London Friday afternoon - exhausted but happy!
